Separating Gnome and KDE apps in menus

I recently installed the very nice kubuntu packages on my hoary system,
and was pretty impressed with how far kde has come (even though I still
prefer gnome). However, now my menus are a mess in both desktops. What
about making use of OnlyShowIn or NotShowIn to have apps show in their
respective environments only? Or maybe making use of the GNOME/KDE
category entries and filtering them out of the menus based on an option?
