On ATI viedo cards (and maybe some others) there is an option called DynamicClocks which allows the video card to conserve power. More info on this can be found at http://wiki.x.org/wiki/DynamicClocks Is there any chance this could be enabled by default on Hoary? It would help conserve battery life on laptops...
