java and OpenOffice in hoary

Hey all,

just a short question.

http://www.ubuntulinux.org/wiki/HoaryGoals states, that some freeware
Java is to be integerated in hoary.

But it also says that the OpenOffice 2.0 integration has problems that
come from not having a java RE in ubuntu.

so why not just put IBM's or GCC's Java in there, see that it runs and
see if OpenOffice likes it?

thanks for your thoughts ,Martin
