Release status update: Preview freeze in effect

We are now in a short, cautionary freeze in preparation for the preview
release (Wednesday, March 9th). Uploads are only authorized for changes
which are a) critical for the preview release (this implicitly includes
GNOME 2.10), or b) simple and safe.

In order to avoid bottlenecks, prior approval for uploads is not strictly
required, but it is essential to adhere to these guidelines in order to
maintain stability for the preview release. Once the preview is out, we
will relax these restrictions somewhat and continue bugfixing for the
release candidate.

If you have any questions about whether an upload is appropriate, contact me
(mdz on FreeNode, mdz at ubuntu.com, mdz at jabber.org, etc.), or if I'm not
available, Jeff Waugh (jdub on FreeNode, jeff.waugh at ubuntu.com, etc.).

Cheers,
