Array CD 6

Hy,
Some small hints from my experience with the live cd:

- I feel the boot process takes longer than with other live cd's i
tested, but admit, I didn't measure it
- Maybe there are too many text messages in the boot process, with
which a less computer literate user cannot do much and can get
confused. i saw knoppix solving this by showing some nice picture,
plus a text "hit f1 for verbose messages"
- Knoppix users are accustomed to have access to their harddisk from
the live cd, I am not sure if the way they do it - having an icon for
each disk on the desktop - is the best, but accessing the harddisk
easily is quite nice
- I had a longshine wlan pc-card (model 8531 G2) here yesterday which
i wanted to buy. This worked the first time i booted the live cd, but
after a while, the data transfer slowed down and stopped completely.
after that i couldn't get the card running anymore, even not after
reboot or anything. this card has an acx111 chipset. I can't test this
further as I already gave it back and changed for a D-Link DWL-G650
which works nice out of the box.
trying to test a D-Link DWL-G122 was not successful at all. Gonna put
this in HardwareSupportComponentsWirelessNetworkCards in the wiki,
too, if nothing is against this.

Henning
