Address book won't focus

Before I file a bug, has anyone else noticed the address book applet
won't focus anymore after the latest round of updates?  Actually I think
it happened slightly earlier than today.

As with the rail barons of the past:
There is no reason why the computer industry should have to put up 
with 'private standards' any longer. The word 'incompatible' is a
