For complex SVGs it's faster to pre-render them to PNGs rather than draw
them each time (though for simple SVGs it can be faster!).

It's not really meant so you just mechanically generate the icons from the
SVG, rather they can be a good starting point from which you can redraw
them using a bitmap editor like the GIMP to be sharper/clearer at small
sizes.
