Dear Breezy developers!
Mplayerplug-in is a knowledgeable Mozilla plugin for streaming video -
at the time it can handle more file formats correctly than the
mozplugger/Totem plugin/vlc plugin.
Hoary has mplayerplug-in 2.70 which is a bit aged release of that app
with several currently corrected bugs. Would someone take some effort
to update it to the latest release (2.80) which is more stable and has
more features (start/stop, fullscreen) - I have checked with the
current package's maintainer but the person there is a Debian
developer and replied to ask Ubuntu devs instead of him.
Also the current 2.80cvs version is working great so one may consider
upgrading to that.
I know that Ubuntu is heading the way to Totem/GStreamer but by this
time mplayer/mplayerplug-in would be a great alternative for people
who are movie fanatics and have some videos coded in exotic codecs.
