Right now, soft-muting is probably the best we can hope for. In future,
we can consider powering down the sound chip when it's muted, but that
requires userspace support we don't really have right now.

We have no documentation for any of these, sadly. TI won't release specs
for the chipsets used in the 4010 and 6220, and whoever manufactures the
fingerprint scanner doesn't seem keen on releasing anything beyond the
basic USB command set.
