Then the user begins to wonder "Am I really up to date, or has it just
quit checking?" I find myself wondering that as it is from time to
time (at least with hoary--breezy gets updates regularly).
But, again, this could be configurable. A simple checkbox that says
"Display Icon when all packages are up to date." That's the great
thing about our OS as opposed to other proprietary OSes. You can make
it work how you want.
