Nautilus sound preview... what's the plan ?

Yeah, that's how it's intended to be fixed upstream.

You'd be best off mailing upstream's nautilus-list to see if anyone's
already working on it. Some work has been done to get libgnome using
GStreamer instead of libesd directly, but I'm not sure how much has been
done to switch the Nautilus audio preview functionality to GStreamer.
