Yes, somebody is working on it while we talk.

I did manage to test xen 2.0.6, but only in a 2.4 kernel sandbox (time limitation
mainly) and it looks better than the previous version.

I think start sharing your experience and requirement would be a good idea.

What exactly do you expect from xen packages and why?
