32 bit C compile on hoary fails

No effect. gcc-3.3 can't find libgcc, and gcc-4.0 can't find libc.
I think the correct C library is

skaller at rosella:~$ objdump -f /lib32/libc-2.3.2.so

/lib32/libc-2.3.2.so:     file format elf32-i386
architecture: i386, flags 0x00000150:
HAS_SYMS, DYNAMIC, D_PAGED
start address 0x00015e80

but linking to that doesn't work either .. :)
