Colony CD 2

hi,
	I 'm testing colony cd 2 on vmware workstation and the installation
fails trying to partition the virtual hard disk. I choose to use the
whole drive for ubuntu, it calculates the parititions, shows the
progress bar formating / and then a red screen appears claims that it
can't format the first partition using the ext3 filesystem. 

I've erased the machine and rebuild it and the problem still exists.
This existed also on previous (not all) daily breezy cds.

any ideas?
