Request for Universe Package Update

Can someone pretty please update Wesnoth :) It's at .8.8 in
universe and .8.9 was released a few days ago and has been
accepted for sid.

Source can be found at http://www.wesnoth.org/files/ .

Rationale:

Multiplayer is not forward or backwards compatabile
Bugs are fixed and unit balance is improved
Matchmaking server won't function unless you are running the
most current stable release.

Thought:

Is this a good candidate for hoary-updates?
