Is it that hard to be clear :(
What we want to know is, is it possible to have Xfce's menu editor as a
standalone application in Ubuntu so that we can edit menus easily, and
if not, are there any plans to release such an application that would
equal it's functionality.
If Gnome doesn't allow it easily yet, fine. But do we have to wait for
something like a 2.12 or 3.0 release if nothing of the sort is planned
for 2.10? That would mean in nearly a year!
The issue isn't as much about how it affects Gnome, but how it affects
Ubuntu. Editing menus is something that all users expect to be able to
do in any modern distro targeted at the mainstream.
I wish a developer would take up the challenge of giving an easy, non
text config file fiddling, menu editing tool for Ubuntu.
