date was correct, timezone was blank and time was wrong within gnome. my mute button on my laptop has a light on it to indicate "mute" on/off. It is stuck to being lit even though sound is not muted and sound *does* work fine as of so far. I also noticed during the install that mozilla-thunderbird was among the packages yet i dont see it isntalled? -- lee_connell
