We talked about this at the Mataró conference. Given that there is a network
configuration tool for KDE that uses the gnome-system-tools backends, and
that we currently use g-s-t in Ubuntu, Chris thought it would be useful to
encourage development along those lines. This means we'd have a common set
of backends that we could fix. ;-)
