hi,
i'm new to using linux on my personal computer and have a general
question regarding upgrades, specifically with respect to the security
updates:
i noticed at the posts for the securty updates that some "bug" can be
corrected by upgrading to eg. version 2.62ubuntu1.1.
different "patches" for each bug sometimes require different versions.
so my question: for each post listed, am i to assume that the "latest
version" of ubuntu for amd64 includes patches for the previously
reported bugs or do i have to download the security fixes from each
post individually? and then reboot after each one? i don't like the
idea of automatic downloads, but prefer to check myself from the ubuntu
website.
thanks for you help!
