Seems to me there was a bug filed on this but it's been a few weeks, not
sure if I recall correctly.

It only works to the point of giving 640x480 and 800x600 with 56Hz:-(
Totally usable.  I've tried it on a few different machines that are a
year or so apart in manufacture.
