Language support summary/discussion

Well ... naturally I'm a bit biased, because I like setting up things in
my own language (German), but I pretty much agree with Thibaut that
ripping off French would not be too god.

I guess there's no reliable statistics about ubuntu-users throughout
the world. 

Maybe there's the possibility to have seperate images for different
continents, which differ only in the language packs that are packed on
CD?
