'profile' module load error exception when starting ipython

Btw, is there any difference between installing that package by 

$ apt-get install python-profiler
and
$ apt-get install python2.4-profiler

(except for the later will not install the meta package)

I mean if I installed 'python-profiler' will it be 'automatically'
upgraded to python2.5-profiler (when available) and not if
'python2.4-profiler' is installed?
