I think it is more wise to wait that it actually installable without too many
problems (as you experienced yesterday)

| Great work Fabio!

thanks! :-)

| become a "full" release (with .iso's, like the pps and x86 releases).
| You mentioned some hurdles-- what hurdles were those?

My target is to get sparc as full release. This has some requirements:

- - a minimum userbase able to support the port
- - all of universe built (it is still going on)

Once we can reach this state, I will ask Mark to sponsor the official
buildd that will be located in the datacenter, instead than my single
sparc.

Also we need to take into account that sparc is still unofficial, so
all the developer effort to get it in shape is done in our spare time
and always in combination with other stuff.
that means that i will never upload X only to fix a sparc problem.
I want our (as sparc) changes to be as less intrusive as possible
with the rest of Ubuntu development, and this is a strict requirement
my side.

cdimages are built only in the datacenter. That means that someone
needs to create the infrastructure for them and it takes time.
The same rule as above applies here.

I think that delaying the release of the sparc in favour of a much
higher quality and best integration with the ubuntu development
is the right way to go.

Aiming to do our best did always pay back ;)
