Hoary New Install - HP dv1000

Hi,

I also had more success with hoary as opossed to warty on an HP
pavilion ze4125.  

Your sound is probably muted.  Every time I boot I have to open up
Application-->Sound & Video-->Volume control and turn both Master and
PCM up and unmute PCM (click on the symbol at the bottom of the
slider).

Does anyone know how I can get hoary to save the setting between
boots?
