Power management integration for Hoary

Thanks to the tireless efforts of the laptop team, Hoary has greatly
improved support for laptop power management features (suspend and
hibernate).
However, this functionality is not yet integrated with the desktop. The two
most interesting bits, in my opinion, would be:
- Suspend/Hibernate access from the logout dialog (I believe Sebastien said
this was straightforward to implement)
- A means to configure power management preferences, such as whether we
suspend on lid close, and anything else high-level in
/etc/default/acpi-support. Has the configuration stabilized to the point
where we could create a simple GUI tool? Are there any PyGTK folks about,
who might be interested in working on such a project?
