We're actually discussing the ubuntu-dev team, but yes, that would be an
improvement. However, what would be much better would be to explicitly
present the user with instructions when they request to join the team.
Much of this can be generic, as it will apply to all teams, e.g. "The team
administrators are unlikely to honor your request if they don't know who you
are."
