Ubuntu/Kubuntu Publication or Conference Proceedings

Hello,

for a theses I need some sort of reference (Publication in
a Journal of a Article in Conference Proceedings) on Ubuntu
or Kubuntu. I looked at sciencedirect.com but nothing usefull 
showed up. Is there something out there. Any hint is 
appreciated.
