So, now that ASUS has fixed their bios, I try power management features.
In order to test Suspend to RAM, I uncomment the first line of
/etc/default/acpi-support, and I just launch /etc/acpi/sleep.sh and it
works out of the box (no need to change the grub config file).
For Suspend to Disk, I had to add resume=/dev/hda5 to the grub config
file. Then I launch /etc/acpi/hibernate.sh and it works too.
However, if I close the lid it seems that it just do a chvt. And if I
read correctly /etc/acpi/lid.sh this is normal! Because
/etc/acpi/local/lid.sh.post is missing. I didn't find a related bug so
I post bug #8720 https://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=8720
Furthermore, my laptop does not power off correctly until I pass the
nolapic on boot.
Thanks for all your great work on Ubuntu!
