Calling for a Council to solve the "spatial nautilus change" issue

There are now 2 topics being discussed:

1. spatial
2. how to resolve the issue.

I think it is a bit late in the game to be discussing #1, which leaves 
#2.  It seems the adverse side-effects (both known and undiscovered) are 
much more of an issue than the benefits.  The only reason I can think of 
for not reverting is: can there be undesirable side-effects from 
removing it?
