This is a known bug:
https://bugzilla.ubuntulinux.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1499
I prepared an updated gnome-volume-manager package yesterday which
fixes this, however, it is too late to include it in Warty. But you
are welcome to try it out and tell me whether/how it works.
You can get the package from my unofficial repository; either
download it manually or add the following apt source:
deb http://people.debian.org/~pitti/utopia/ /
(currently i386 only; tell me if you need other arches)
