inkscape broken ?

ok, i'm not used to gdb i tried it with:

file inkscape 
break gdk_x_error()
run --sync 

which give a lot of no symbols found msg's and the same error as before
on breakdown...

both doesn't look too helpful, is there something i shold do different
in gdb ?
