Maybe the working and non-free implementation is slightly better, but there is 
an important thing to mention.
Flash plugin (afaik) is for linux/x86 only, while on the ppc side we have to 
use the Mac OS X one.
If this plugin works it has to be in, because something working is absolutely 
best than nothing ;D
