Task metapackages

Hi ,

I do not have the original thread as I am recent to the party .  I
read it on the forum . I do not understand packages well , but as well
as (or as opposed to) a task , why not make ubuntu-desktop a package
that depends on all of the packages in Ubuntu .  This way for Hoary
users that have this package (installed by default) if users upgrade
from Hoary then they get any "new packge to the desktop seed" .  This
seems less imposing than the current proposals , but I likely do not
understand enough about packages .
