when you receive a file with xchat this is placed in ~/.xchat2
wouldn't ~/download/ be better?

Speaking of downloads, for some silly reason, firefox seems to think
that Desktop == $HOME and downloads everything into the home dir. Anyone
else observes this behaviour?
