wxpython

 From what I've understood:
a. Ubuntu loves python
b. Ubuntu is about GTK2
c. A lot of people love wxpython http://wxpython.org/quotes.php
d. wxpython 2.6 could be ready for Hoary

the current wxptyhon (2.4) uses GTK1 and well... it kindda sucks... I've upgraded my Ubuntu to latest Hoary and 2.4 it is still there... no 2.5 it was very disappointing.

So....

Please!

Someone from Canonical should get in touch with Robin Dunn (head of wxpython devel) and ask him... He is one of the greatest project managers I've seen and he is already considering installing Ubuntu (he already might have done it)

some more thought on software using wxpython:

with a little effort maybe the authors of ABC Bittorent client might turn their software HIG 2.0 compliant.

Ubuntu could use a genlte approach to teaching python/computer programming so... maybe Guido van Robot could be part of it.
