Just my 2 cents, I didn't have any issues with nv driver while doing
"normal" desktop work as in edit a document. But, I happen to like my
games (both native and win32 using cedega), my OpenGL screen savers, my
OpenGL xmms plug-ins etc. For me (and I think a lot of users might share
this point of view) non-working 3d acceleration takes 3/4 of the fun out
of the computer.
