xpdf calls on 'sensible-browser' when you click an Internet http URL in
a PDF document. That script in turn calls on 'x-www-browser', which is
by default set to Mozilla, at least on this machine where Mozilla is
installed. Perhaps the alternatives priority of Firefox should be made
higher than that of Mozilla in Ubuntu?

karlheg at journeyhawk:~ $ sudo update-alternatives --config x-www-browser

There are 2 alternatives which provide `x-www-browser'.

  Selection Alternative
-----------------------------------------------
      1 /usr/bin/mozilla-firefox
*+ 2 /usr/bin/mozilla

Press enter to keep the default[*], or type selection number: 1
Using `/usr/bin/mozilla-firefox' to provide `x-www-browser'.
