On top of  Dmitriy Kropivnitskiy' answer :

You could write a firefox extension that pops up irritating popups. 
- you would be able to easily remove the extension
- in internet explorer dialog boxes can be changed to whatever. That's
confusing for for users who don't know they have to click "no" almost
everytime.
- even advanced windows users have to remove some spyware once in a
while

I do sympatise with you. I'm still running windows XP on my main pc
because :

-I like to play games once in a while
-my raid array isn't accesible in ubuntu and I don't want to lose my
data
-there was no Ubuntu before

I'm going to use my christmas break as a nice opportunity to make
ubuntu my default OS on my main pc. (lot's of backupping data needed)

I'll install dual boot Ubuntu with windows XP. I still can't miss XP
because of the games.
