a) I've used linux for some years. A bashprompt is familiar. Ofcourse 
what you're using is familiar to you :-P.
b) ...and puts up a button if you want to restart it :-). My girl had XP 
on her PC when she got it. She got freakin' bluescreens as soon as she 
started OE.
c) See other answers in this thread.
d) Both ff and OOo was installed by ubuntu-desktop. You should click on 
the icon and then type an address in the space allocated for that. Then 
you should click on the nice Go button :-). Printing as in printer? 
Updating as in synaptics?

Sorry, but I can't find anything making windows even close to have the 
working status in my world. I throw that piece of crap out long ago :-). 
Can't see a reason why I should pay those money for something that needs 
security updates at day one after a release :-P.
