gnome-user-share (apache) and open ports

What about something like apache2-light or apache2-user, recompiled with
tweaked options and just dav??
I'm not sure if that could save some memory but having apache running
just for sharing some files...
Is there any lightweight webdav server? What does OSX use for sharing?
