<p>grub2 (and therefore, Ubuntu) can't be installed on some UEFIs
because of this bug: <a moz-do-not-send="true"
href="http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/ticket/4354">http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/ticket/4354</a></p>
<p>The <a moz-do-not-send="true"
href="http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/grub.git/commit/util?id=842c390469e2c2e10b5aa36700324cd3bde25875">bugfix</a>
is already there for over a half year, but even though this bug is
that big, you still have to build the fixed grub version manually.

<p>Debian has version 2.04 still in sid, but I would consider to
jump to 2.04 earlier, to make installing Ubuntu on those
problematic UEFIs possible for unexperienced users again.</p>
