</span>The option to empty the trash does appear, but nautilus popping up is new to me.<br>
I would go ahead with a bug.<br>

My systemm has been recently updated though. I added a file to "trash" and emptied it. I got a prompt asking me if I reallyy want to empty it. Not only that, the file manager window opened.
