The same goes for backports (people that have enabled them have taken the decision themselves that they want to run the latest and greatest software).<br>
<br>Pinning the repository is unnecessary because they are disabled by default anyway. It would make it practically useless to those of us who want to help test these packages in *-proposed, as we wouldn't automatically be notified of the updates which need testing. That would mean that people who wanted to help test would have to enable the repository, and then un-pin it too (or manually search for packages that need testing).<br>
