I like the idea of this, my only comment is on your use cases of the pre-cache. I think it would be smarter to pre load the config/lib files necessary but not the programs itself. I felt by some of the use cases you mentioned there were applications being opened, and IMO I don't want firefox/OOo opening up at random on those certain days im not being routine in my tasks. Maybe you also want to think about setting a timer to remove those cached files after a certain time if the user isn't performing their typical routines.<br>
