Hi Lijian, I think what you missed here was the
linux-modules-extra-4.15.0-72-generic package, which includes a lot of
storage drivers, that likely would allow Linux to mount your rootfs. Can
you retry by installing that?
Also, to understand the version number, can you pastebin the config file
you used to build this kernel and send the link in this thread? I don't
understand pronto why it shows 4.15.18 to you - the times when I built
the kernel, it shows usually the version of the tag (except if I want to
manually change that adding a suffix, for example).
Finally, this is not the most used list for Ubuntu kernel - I'm CCing
the kernel-team mailing list, you're likely to find more help there.
