Package OS version mismatch

Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone could shed any light onto an issue we are
facing. We are running Ubuntu 14.04 with Openstack Newton using OSA.
Today we wanted to install LXC and its dependencies on 3 servers using:
http://ubuntu-cloud.archive.canonical.com/ubuntu/dists/trusty-updates/mitaka/main/binary-amd64/Packages
I am aware that we are running Newton and the repo is for Mitaka,
however Mitaka is the highest version available for Trusty. We have not
selected this version, this is what OSA chooses for Newton.
We think the packages fail to install because they are for the Ubuntu
16.04 distro. Can anyone confirm if these packages are correct or have
they been mistakenly put into the Trusty repo?
From my understanding 14.04 should still be supported until 2019.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Many thanks,
