Updating Python-vtk for Xenial

Good day,

My name is Brendan Kennedy and I'm working at a Virtual Reality startup in
Michigan.

We are currently using python-vtk6 on the apt repository. We have tried
installing vtk8 via their own documentation but are unable to build it for
Ubuntu. We very much need vtk8 on ubuntu and are unsure as to how to get
vtk8 on the repository.

We see that the current maintainers of vtk for Xeinial is the Ubuntu
Developers. I would like to ask if there is any way you can update vtk for
version 8.0.0. Currently there is python-vtk and python-vtk6. We would like
to install python-vtk8  (or 7) but they are not available on the repo.
