Feedback and User requests

I was looking for a way to provide feedback on some issues I'm stumbling
into as a newb to the Gnome shell in Ubuntu, but the best I could find was
this mailing list. Fresh eyes can be rare and as a fellow developer I
wanted to share while the issues were fresh in my mind, hopefully to the
benefit of both the users of Ubuntu and Gnome as well as the devs.
If this is completely the wrong place for this feedback please let me know
and I'll reach out another way.
Feedback 01 - Submitting feedback on user experience
Apparently to provide feedback on the Ubuntu experience you have to sign up
to a mailing list via a web interface I have not seen since the 1990's.
Compared to other organisations like Sun Micro-systems, Google, Microsoft,
Valve, Kellogg, General Electric, Samsung, Electronic Arts, and Comcast
this approach seems behind the times.
Feedback 02 - Laptop palm rejection
Palm rejection is not on by default and there seems to be no option to
enable/adjust it via the "Settings > Mouse & Touchpad" interface. There
maybe some script or terminal setting for this, but something as straight
forward of this shouldn't require sudo.
Feedback 03 - Bizarre tab interface behaviour with Chrome
It's very easy to click and drag a tab out into a new window, but extremely
difficult to put it back. There's something about the screen snap
functionality that's interfering with re-inserting tabs in Chrome.
Feedback 04 - Fast, functional, and reactive
I'm really enjoying working in Gnome. This is my first experience with
gnome since 2000 and between the snappy interface and smooth animations I'm
really falling in love with this interface. It's surprisingly intuitive and
sexy. It's the sort of experience that makes me want to recommend Linux to
friends and I have a feeling that if they were to see this interface over
my shoulder it would be an easy sell.
Keep up the great work. Very excited to watch this continue to evolve!
