Packages in Ubuntu are team-maintained. You can just request sponsorship
or upload a new expect-lite as usual.

I've copied in Paul and Bhavani (who last bumped the package) so that
they're aware.

Please note that feature freeze for Xenial is this Thursday, so you
don't have much time to land this before requiring an exception from the
release team.
