Dear maintainers of SFML packages,
It has only been about five month since our last release and we're happy to
announce SFML's (Simple and Fast Multimedia Library) new version: 2.3
As of writing this email the source code for SFML 2.3 has been locked down
and tagged in the Git repository [1].
To make life easier for all the Linux users, the SFML Team and the SFML
community, it would be great if you could go ahead and start updating the
official packages for SFML.
Until the website is fully updated, the complete changelog can be found
next to the source code [2].
I've contacted most of you already regarding the new GitHub repository,
But let me mention it again. We've moved our official SFML repository
from Laurent Gomila's GitHub account to our newly created GitHub
organization [3]. The old URLs will keep redirect to the new one, but it's
advised to update them regardless in your build scripts and similar.
If anyone has a question or feedback, feel free to post on the SFML
forum [4] or send me an email.
Kind Regards,
Lukas Dürrenberger (aka eXpl0it3r)
